Hello Ladies...and Gentleman.: Hello Again, Friend of a Friend [tag;Blu]
Glancing away after Blu spoke, Sweet said, “Yes. It is very peculiar that you would be here.” Suddenly his alarms began to rang and his body tensed. He told himself to calm down however since he was around many buildings and innocent civilians. There was no need to ape out yet, even if it would be for self defense.
“You haven’t come here to try and kill me again,” He muttered, voice low and full of warning, “Have you? Because if so I suggest that does not happen.”
It was ancient phoenix tradition, to hunt an ‘enemy’ of their people when they were young. Barely practiced in the modern day, Blu had been coerced into it by relatives and family friends. Even so, when he had been pushed into fighting the yeti, he had given it his all. Whether or not he would have actually killed the man in front of him was a moot point, as their fight had never come to such a dangerous point. Still, Blu had to remark in the seemingly universal joke that he was continuously bumping into individuals who could kill him in a poor situation.
Perhaps it was the earlier encounter with Awi that gave him enough hope to stay. That confrontation had been resolved peacefully, despite all the odds. Perhaps this could end the same. And, if it could, he would have resolved one of the biggest mistakes of his past. However, while his aspirations were high and noble, he couldn’t deliver the proper words to make them evident. “I just wanted some fresh air…” Blu replied, his words falling out of his mouth in a low mumble.
“No! No. Not at all. I’m…I don’t want to fight anyone! Or hurt anyone. Especially when that person could be me. Well…not especially, because then it seems like I”m focused on me. And not you. When you could get hurt. Which isn’t to say, y’know, you have a higher chance of getting hurt…or anything” the phoenix quickly replied, running a hand through his curly mess of hair as he felt himself beginning to panic.
It had been difficult to try and predict the outcome of their altercation many years ago. Because while Sweet had the height, size, and general power, Blu was also fast, small, easy to slip away and could also peck him in the eye or become engulfed in flames. Luckily their fight had no conclusion. Sweet had merely wanted to meditate at the time, he was going through a time of fasting and deep prayer, he had no desire to fight but he had defended himself and then he had made sure Blu was out of the fight without being out of the world.
Looking at him now, he could feel the familiar boil of emotions but he ignored it, swallowed it down while he regarded the young male who had once been his opponent fidget before him and struggle with words. Narrowing his eyes as Blu assured Sweet that no violence would be seen today, he cocked his head. Sweet liked to think he was a decent fighter, he was sure he would have gotten something over him. Not like he really wanted to know…again, changing in public was not a good idea. He hated that side of him.
Sighing finally, he worked up a happy smile, “Well hey, so long as no fists or swinging or anything, then I think we’re okay.” Furrowing his brows he asked, “I’m going to make an educated guess and say you ended up here because you might also be attending school around here…Lyonessa or Lumeria?”

Hello Ladies...and Gentleman.: Hello Again, Friend of a Friend [tag;Blu]
After a well controlled day of breakfast, classes, and lunch, Joshua Sweet decided it was time for a little R&R. An hour of meditation kept his emotions in check and he felt enlightened as he stepped away from Spirit High’s campus. Glancing back, wondering how Kai might be, he shrugged, he would…
The last week seemed more and more like a dream the harder he thought about it. The leader of their entire people, an ancient and powerful creature more akin to a force of nature than a noble, had assigned his most prestigious and trusted assistant to watch over and assess him. And, even more recently, he had been a part of both a fight and a conversation with a nagini. The subject of which could possibly change the future of both their races. It was idealistic, perhaps, but many ideas had to have started the same.
While Blu greatly enjoyed the halls of the ancient school, sometimes he needed to literally stretch his wings. So he had taken to the nearby town, moments before shifting back from his blue-feathered form and into a human once again. He shivered slightly. While the slowly-warming weather was likely bearable to most, to a bird of fire it was still almost freezing out.
The combination of the chill and his own thoughts were enough to distract him, and he bumped into a passerby. “Oh, sorry. I should’ve been watching where I was going” Blu said, noticing the person’s nice red scarf before the familiar face. All his musings vanished in a moment, as he quickly recognized the man in front of him. “Oh…hi. Funny bumping into you here…” the phoenix said, his eyes darting away as he gave a sheepish chuckle.
Of all the people in all of the places. The larger male’s jaw clenched a bit and his lips tilted up. He had no problem with boy…well, bird, really. Sweet made a point to not have many enemies, but Blu was…well, they had a rocky start. Since Sweet had been made into a monster of significant size, he was the ultimate challenge. He had height, mass, and a certain ferocity about him that made those stupid enough eager to fight him. Some did it for a rite of passage, others just went after him and his kind so that they would have a story to tell.
